Certificate II in Makeup Services (SACE)

This course is designed for participants who are currently at Secondary School and wish to gain practical skills required to work as a retail cosmetic consultant and photographic makeup artist for school formals.

During the course programme you are required to be available for work experience which may include weekend and/or evening work.

Course Intake:

This course is conducted part time over a period of 36 weeks.
February Friday 9am - 4pm

Subjects

  • Techniques for sketching & drawing.
  • Facial Anatomy & balance
  • Shading and highlighting techniques
  • Colour harmonies and balance
  • Remedial Camouflage
  • Photographic lighting equipment and techniques
  • Retail & Selling techniques
  • Ethnic Make up including black skin, Middle East and Oriental
  • Day Make up and conversion to evening
  • Formal makeup for colour and black & white photography, in-house photo shoots.
  • Application of false eye lashes
  • Professional Photo Shoot

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be in at least year 10.

Commencement Dates

February 12th, 2010 Intake. 

SACE Students should contact the Academy for information about other statement of attainment short courses and start dates.

Price

Total: $1,386.00

Deposit: $400.00  (payable as material costs)

Material Costs

Makeup brushes and start up makeup kits $400.00
Students to supply their own camera, stationery, colour wheel, hand towel and makeup cape.

Please note: Each certificate runs independently of one another. Some courses contain the same content as others. You may enter at any course level, there is no need to complete them in order.
