Course Code: WRB 20204
This course is designed for participants who wish to gain practical skills required to work in the retail cosmetics industry and as a Professional Photographic Make up Artist for Weddings in a studio or outdoor environment.
During the course programme you are required to be available for work experience which may include weekend and/or evening work.
Course Intake:
This course is conducted full time over a period of 14 weeks.
January intake
Mon to Thurs (9.00am - 1.00pm)
February intake (For Hairdressers)
Tuesdays (1.00pm - 5.00pm)
March intake
Mon to Thurs (1.00pm - 5.00pm)
June intake
Mon to Thurs (9.00am - 1.00pm)
This course is available part time at night over a period of 30 weeks. (approx 7 months).
Jan, March and July intakes Tues & Wed (6.00pm - 8.30pm) Sept intake Mon & Thur (6.00pm-8.30pm)
This course is also available part time during the
day over a period of 38 weeks.
Feb intake Tuesdays 9am to 1.00pm and March
intake Wednesdays 1pm to 5.00pm.
The maximum number of students per course is 20 (full time) and 12 (part time). Positions cannot be held unless the required deposit is paid.
Pre-requisites
Applicants must have successfully completed year 10 and be at least 16 years of age.

- Facial Anatomy & balance
- Shading and highlighting techniques
- Colour harmonies and balance
- Remedial Camouflage
- Photographic lighting equipment and techniques
- Retail & Selling techniques
- Ethnic Make up including black skin, Middle East and Oriental
- Day Make up and conversion to evening
- Wedding Make up for colour and Black & White Photography
- Application of false eye lashes
- Professional photo shoot

Material Costs
Participants are required to purchase kits and materials prior to the first day of class. Students to supply their own camera, stationery, colour wheel, hand towel and make up cape. |
