David Willis's Airbrush Master Classes

Media Makeup Academy is supporting David Willis's Airbrush Master Classes on offer to all artists/students that want to take airbrushing that step further in the High Definition world and Special Effects industry. Congratulations to Lisa Robertson

Lisa recently competed in the Hair and Beauty Industry makeup competitions and gained first prize in the makeup entry for her Carnivale Theme. Here are some images of her fabulous work.

Hair & Beauty Industry State Competitions

The next Hair & Beauty Industry State Competitions are to be held at the Hilton Adelaide on the 6th of June and there are 3 makeup competitions, which are the Open Bridal Makeup 'Total Look', Junior Runway Makeup Total look and Senior Runway Makeup Total Look.

These are a great way to advertise your make ups to a very large hair dressing & beauty industry.

IMATS Makeup

IMATS Makeup competitions are happening this year in Sydney and for those interested go to this link for further details.

Makeup Forever will be there again this year with some great makeup offers.

Website Changes

Media Makeup is renovating the website and with feedback from past and current students of requesting more images we are doing just that, posting more images. Keep an eye out for the changes and if you are a past student wishing to submit more of your work then please email your jpg images to tammy@mediamakeup.com.au

Career's Expo

The Adelaide Career's Expo will be held at the Adelaide Showgrounds on June 25th & 26th and is free of charge to attend. We will have a stand at the expo where our Makeup Artist/Trainers will be available to talk to anyone interested in a career in the Makeup related industries and information booklets are available to take home.

Look out for the Prosthetic Monsters and Characters roaming the show from our stand!!!

Expressions of Interest in going to Makeup Forever in Paris and to London IMATS January, 2011.

A group of girls are about to head over to New York to attend the IMATS and discover the sights of New York for a couple of weeks.

There has been some interest in attending the IMATS in London as well as spending some time in Paris attending a workshop at Makeup Forever. We have a costing estimate of $4,600.00 (subject to change) which includes Flights, shared accommodation, Moulin Rouge Show ticket, Metro Pass for London, Train passage from Paris to London. Extra charges will incur for the Makeup Forever workshop/demo.
