MMA&A NEWS: OCT-NOV 2007

ADELAIDE SHOW

Media Makeup's team was busy at the Royal Adelaide show this year, with 10 days of fashion parades for labels such as Kookai, Live Life Design and Max Mara to cater for. Marie Puccini coordinated makeup and hairstyles for the event, with a team of girls backstage to attend to makeup and hair touch-ups for catwalk models.

Meanwhile, the smoky-eye-look was worth queuing for, with over a thousand people treated to make-ups in the big hall next the parade at the Media Makeup stand. Have a look at some of the wonderful hair & accessory designs (created by Jan Stewart) that were a part of the parade entertainment.

ON LOCATION

Jo Clayton, Media Makeup artist and coordinator spent three weeks on a film shoot in Adelaide last month called "The Resident Magician", written and produced by Daniel Marsiglia.

This has been filmed entirely on location in Adelaide and Jo had a tremendous support crew of artists: Sue-Ellen Taormina, Kim champion, Victoria Arbon, Jess Hunt and Natalie Murphy. Work experience assistants included: Ngaree Tunbridge, Clancy Cunningham, Joy Chelchowski, Marie Fiorita and Kristy Cabot.

Here are some great shots of the characters in the film now in post production, due for release early to mid 2008.

This is providing a fantastic employment outcome for Cert II qualified students and graduates. With more promotions coming up soon, the Media Makeup team is filling a few gaps in the industry.
