Student Graduation at the Hilton

Congratulations to all students who completed their training and gained valuable qualifications in 2008. We applaud you and are very proud of your achievements. We know that some of you are already working in the industry and gained positions even before completing your training, which is a great outcome and we thank those companies that have taken on your skill and dedication to a very rewarding industry.

Welcome to Denise Hojdyssek

Denise is joining our team full time in 2009 and she brings her photographic and design skills to Media Makeup to manage the new Photographic Makeup & Styling course which is set to start in mid 2009. Exciting times are ahead with a course that allows participants to take a career path that not only caters to the makeup industry but also hairdressing, fashion, beauty and the photographic industry. This is a step towards opening up many career options.

High Definition

Makeup Forever's high definition foundations and powder is walking off the shelf and we are struggling to keep up with the demand. Another shipment has just arrived and for all enthusiasts get in early for Xmas.

Workshops in Port Augusta

Sharon and Denise have returned from spending a busy and exciting week in Port Augusta conducting a Makeup and Styling Course with the Stirling Campus Secondary School Students.

The work skills course ran over four days during which students attended Makeup and hair classes and participated in two photo shoots showing off their new found skills.

This helped to introduce them to a life in the world of a makeup artist/stylist to see what employment opportunities are out there for them. The students took on the task of styling each other utilising makeup and hairstyling tools and seeing the transformation after a couple of photo shoots.

The feed back from TAFE staff and students in Port Augusta has been so positive and they loved participating in such an interactive workshop with positive outcomes and photo shoots as proof.

We would like to pass on our thanks to all involved for making Sharon & Denise's visit a very rewarding one.

Wedding Bells

Media Makeup's Briony Scholz and Kat Vlachoullis walked down the aisle recently, not together but with prospective male partners and are now blissfully married. Congratulations girls.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone and we look forward to an adventurous & exciting 2009 at MEDIA MAKEUP.

Media Makeup will be closed from the 24th December, 2008 until January 5th, 2009.
