BEAUTY TIP

Q If I apply moisturiser and foundation on my face does sunscreen still work?

A Yes it does. However, if you're planning to wear sunscreen and make-up, it's best to apply your sun-screen first - onto clean, dry skin. If sunscreen is applied on top of skin that has already been moisturised, it won't disperse as well, and so won't be as effective. Sunscreen can be applied as a moisturiser under make-up - some sunscreens actually contain a moisturiser! You can also use moisturisers and foundations that contain SPF including The Cancer Council Australia's Herbal Moisturising Sunscreen SPF 20 and Stick Foundation SPF 15, however when using these products it is still important to use sunscreen SPF 30+ and protective clothing, hat and sunglasses.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF APRICOT

Apricots are one of the best natural sources of Vitamin A and C, and they are simply delicious! Dried apricots are a healthy snack and taste fantastic! Benefits are known to include: - Regulating the proper functioning of the brain, giving energy and helping to release stress - Playing an important role in keeping bones and teeth healthier and stronger - Prevention of anaemia by increasing blood production - Besides playing a role in the therapy of ulcers, apricots are also said to prevent the formation of stomach and intestinal ulcers - Decreasing the formation of kidney stones - Making cardiac muscles stronger and the functioning of the heart more regular - The Vitamin A found in apricots is also great for your skin (try the St Ives Apricot Scrubs Range to help prevent blackheads and blemishes by effectively lifting away surface oils and dirt).
